Orlando Magic Over 33.5 Wins (-115)
The Orland Magic started the season by going 5-20, their current record is 24-35. This a team full of young and hungry players that is going to try their best to secure a playoff spot, but we don’t even need them to do that to win this bet.
We need 10 wins in 23 remaining games for the Orlando Magic, and we think they have no problem doing it. Tankathon lists the Magic as the 13th easiest remaining schedule for the rest of the season and we actually think that is a bit misleading.
The Magic’s toughest games remaining are the following:
– Bucks x2 (both of these games will be without Giannis)
– Cavs x2 (both of these games will be played during the last week of the season)
– Memphis (won 4 games in the past month)
– Brooklyn x2 (an entire new lineup post all star break)
– Knicks
– Miami x2 (one of these games is the last game of the season)
The Magic need a few things to break their way to hit this bet and it is already starting to happen. If you remember last season, teams that easily clinched their playoff spot completely quit at the end of the year. We think that trend continues and half of their toughest games will come in the final week of the season.
We love this bet and we love the scrappy Orlando Magic. If you want to step this bet up a bit you can even bet that the Orlando Magic will reach the play in tournament.
They are currently 4 losses back of the 10 spot with 23 games left to play. They need to jump a few teams for this to hit, but here is there competition
8 Seed – Atlanta Hawks (fired their head coach)
9 Seed – Wizards
10 Seed – Raptors
11 Seed – Bulls (dumpster fire)
The Magic will need some luck and will need to get hot, but their schedule is favorable so we think it is worth the bet.
